Aienginear is a free engineering resource for plant engineers, piping designers, process engineers and EPC contractors. We publish browser-based engineering calculators, in-depth piping and materials guides, and interview preparation material built around the codes and standards used in oil & gas, petrochemical and power plants — ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII, API 520/521 and related ISO standards.
Who Is Behind Aienginear
Aienginear was founded by Muhammad Raza (Choudhry Mohammad Raza Hussain), an engineering and digital solutions professional based in Karachi, Pakistan. He has more than 26 years of hands-on experience managing projects, plant shutdowns and turnarounds in the oil & gas, petrochemical and power generation industries.
Over that career he has delivered complex projects for major operating companies with a focus on zero safety incidents, leak-free start-ups and tight, Primavera-based schedule control. Aienginear brings that field-tested experience into practical digital tools that engineers can use on site or at the desk.
Why Aienginear Exists
Working daily with ASME B31.3, API 520/521 and ISO requirements showed how much time plant engineers and contractors spend re-doing routine calculations by hand or in fragile spreadsheets. Aienginear was built to remove that friction: every calculator runs instantly in the browser, works without sign-up, and produces PDF or CSV reports you can attach to a calculation package.
What You Will Find Here
- Engineering calculators – pipe support spacing, pipe pressure drop, steam pipe sizing, PSV relief load, control valve sizing, tank and vessel volume, hydrotest pressure, flange bolt torque and more.
- Piping guides – pipe classes and schedules, dimensions, fittings, materials (carbon, alloy, stainless, non-ferrous and non-metallic), manufacturing and inspection.
- Plant turnaround know-how – shutdown planning, long-lead activities and critical path, and heat exchanger maintenance.
- Interview preparation – piping, codes, materials, fittings and gasket question banks with model answers.
How We Build and Check Our Tools
- Each calculator states the governing equations, the code or reference it is based on, and the assumptions it makes, so you can verify the result yourself.
- Tools are updated when users report issues or when the referenced code editions change.
- Results are intended for preliminary design, estimating and checking. Final designs must be verified by a qualified engineer against the applicable code edition and project specification.
- The site is ad-free and the tools are free to use.
