DocuEngine Ultimate is a single-file, zero-dependency web application built by AIEnginear for process, mechanical, and commissioning engineers. True PDF & Excel export engines
DocuEngine includes hand-built PDF and Excel (XLSX) export engines written from scratch — no external libraries. The PDF generator produces genuine, multi-page documents with title blocks, watermarks, embedded metadata, page numbers, and signature blocks. The XLSX engine writes real, multi-sheet workbooks that open natively in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. You can also export a portable JSON backup of any project and re-import it on another device.
P&ID drafting studio
The built-in P&ID drafting tool lets you place ISA-style symbols (vessels, pumps, valves, instruments, exchangers), connect them with orthogonally routed flow lines, snap to a grid, and zoom and pan a large canvas. A one-click continuity check flags any unconnected equipment — useful for quick markups and review sketches without opening a heavyweight CAD package.
Engineering database & instrument index
Manage your instrument index in a virtualized data table that stays fast even with thousands of tags. Capture tag number, service, type, design pressure and temperature, piping class and material, then search and edit instantly. DocuEngine flags material/service compatibility on every row using a built-in metallurgy matrix.

The transparent rule engine performs common engineering checks and shows the standard, formula, and every input behind each result — no black boxes. The included calculators cover ASME B31.3 minimum wall thickness, API RP 14E erosional velocity, pipe sizing for a target velocity, liquid control valve Cv, Reynolds number, and material compatibility screening. Risk heatmap & integrity scoring
Visualize mechanical integrity at a glance. DocuEngine builds a 5×5 risk matrix (consequence × likelihood) from your instrument data and produces an overall integrity score from data completeness, validation pass rate, material compatibility, P&ID continuity, and turnover progress.
Certificates with scannable QR verification
Issue calibration, conformance, pressure-test, or material certificates as real PDFs, each carrying a scannable QR code and a SHA-256 fingerprint for later verification. The QR codes are generated by a built-in Reed-Solomon encoder and scan reliably on any phone.
Tamper-evident audit trail
DocuEngine keeps an append-only, SHA-256 hash-chained audit trail in the style of 21 CFR Part 11. Each entry’s hash includes the previous one, so any edit to history breaks the chain and is immediately detectable. You can apply electronic signatures (with name, meaning, and timestamp), lock a revision, and save named snapshots that you can compare side by side.

What’s included today (honest scope)
We believe in transparency. The PDF, Excel, QR, IndexedDB storage, audit trail, rule engine, and virtualized tables are fully production-ready. The P&ID studio is an advanced drafting starter — placing, connecting, routing, and checking symbols — rather than a full CAD replacement with obstacle-aware auto-routing, multi-sheet management, or reporting. Reporting is currently English-only. We label what is partial rather than oversell it. DocuEngine’s calculators are powerful decision-support tools; results depend on the inputs and code data you enter, so always verify against your project specifications.
