Integrity & safety FAQ

Do these tools replace ASME or API code calculations?
No. They are rule-based integrity and relief screening tools that apply the public methods from ASME VIII Division 1 and API 520 and 521. They support early checks and reviews but do not reproduce copyrighted code tables and are not a substitute for a stamped code calculation by a qualified engineer.
What overpressure scenarios does the relief suite cover?
The suite focuses on relief-load estimation and PSV sizing for cases such as tube rupture and other common overpressure scenarios, following the sizing approach set out in API 520 and the scenario guidance in API 521.
How accurate is the vessel volume and calibration tool?
It computes total and partial volumes for standard head geometries and produces strapping or calibration output for level-to-volume conversion. Accuracy depends on the dimensional data you enter, so confirm against the certified vessel drawing for custody or inventory use.
Can the field-safety suite be used on site without internet?
Yes. Like every AIEnginear tool it is fully self-contained, so once the page has loaded it runs offline in the browser – useful for refinery, EPC and construction environments with limited connectivity.
